Our Region
The SED region is located to the south east of Melbourne, Victoria. The Melbourne Central Business District is approximately 30 kilometres from the nearest municipal boundary within SED's region.
Encompassing an area of 3,539 square kilometres, the region is noted for its diversity. It provides world-class tourist destinations, major retail and commerce centres, rich agricultural land, residential growth corridors, and an established industrial base - all within its boundaries.
